Tofu Pakoda

Pakodas are a delicious Indian crisp fried snack made with gram flour, spices and any main ingredient like tofu or onion or veggies. We can use tofu to make delicious healthy pakoda.

Ingredients

  • 200 gms of regular tofu
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • to taste red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon garam masala
  • salt as required
  • refined oil

Instructions

  1. Wash tofu in a warm water
  2. Cut tofu into cubes or rectangular pieces as desired
  3. Apply a little salt on tofu pieces and keep aside for 15 minutes
  4. Mix gram flour, curd, red chilli powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, salt and water to make a thick batter.
  5. Dip the tofu pieces in the batter and deep fry in hot oil. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
